- routeMASTER Tracking
Irvine Grenson, the highway maintenance, civil engineering and bridge maintenance services provider, has kept its finger on the pulse regarding the whereabouts of its support crew since installing the routeMASTER vehicle tracking system from AGM Telematics, the Corby based fleet management and route optimisation specialists.
With a mixed fleet, from small service vans to 18 tonne grab lorries, Irvine Grenson recognised the need to keep closer tabs on vehicle movements in order that clients could be kept informed and vehicles could be sent to a new location at short notice when required.
“We provide a diverse service”, explains Managing Director, Lee Irvine, “which sees us at a number of locations at any one time throughout the South East of England and sometimes beyond. This often involves fast deployment of specialist vehicles and that’s where the routeMASTER vehicle tracking system comes into its own”.
“Since 2012, when we started using the system, we have been able to maintain a constant check on every vehicles location, keep abreast of arterial road conditions and make sure our drivers select the optimum route. Furthermore, by viewing the on-screen vehicle location, which is automatically updated every minute, we can keep our clients and other crew members in the loop at all times”
The routeMASTER vehicle tracking system is cloud based so that any user can access live from any physical location with easy-to-use software for PC, iPhone, iPad or Android devices. Real time alerts can also be configured against a list of pre-set conditions and driving patterns can easily be monitored to help improve MPG.
“Keeping our finger on the pulse is of course a major benefit”, adds Lee Irvine “but also the system improves overall efficiency, which in turn leads to improved customer service, and talking of service the team at AGM is always on the ball and I would recommend them to anyone.”
